In the name of struggle, to the appointment of youth

Hello everyone! Today, I would like to talk to you about the topic of "struggle", which seems grand yet is closely related to each and every one of us. When we open the book of history, we will find that every progress of human civilization is the result of the sweat of the strugglers; when we gaze at the world around us, we will see countless ordinary figures, who are using struggle as a pen to write their own wonderful life.

1. Struggle is the* beautiful* color of youth.

Once upon a time, words like "lying flat" and "slacking off" were popular among young people. Some say it's a self-mockery and reconciliation with pressure, but I would rather say that youth should not be wasted in a Buddha-like state, but should bloom in struggle.

A hundred years ago, a group of young people with high spirits held the "May Fourth" torch high, awakening the sleeping nation with their blood and shouts; today, countless scientific researchers are rooted in laboratories, overcoming "bottleneck" technological problems with their wisdom and sweat; and there are those delivery guys shuttling through city streets, the people's soldiers guarding the frontier, and the teachers tilling the podium... They may have different positions, but they are all interpreting the meaning of youth with their struggles.

What is youth? Youth is Li Bai's "looking up to the sky and laughing, going out, how can we be the grass and the bushes" of the grand ambition, and Wang Bo's "poverty and more firm, not falling into the cloud of the sky" of the firm and persistent. When we integrate our personal ideals into the torrent of national development, when we get up again and again in setbacks, and when we bravely move forward in exploration, the brilliance of youth will illuminate the whole world.

Do you still remember Huang Wenxiu, the "role model of the times"? She gave up the advantages of big cities and resolutely returned to her hometown to devote herself to poverty alleviation. The mountain roads were muddy, but she walked with determination; the masses misunderstood, but she resolved it with sincerity. Under her leadership, 103 poor households in Bama Village successfully lifted themselves out of poverty, while she herself was forever frozen in her youthful age of 30. She used her life to interpret what the responsibility of the strivers is and what the faith of the pursuers of the light is.

Maybe we can't become earth-shaking heroes, but we can be the protagonists of our own lives. When you study late into the night at the desk in the early hours of the morning for your dreams, when you sweat it out on the sports field to break through your limits, when you bring warmth to others in volunteer service... These seemingly ordinary efforts are all building up energy for our lives. Every time you grit your teeth and persevere, it's a step closer to your dreams; every time you break through yourself, it's a tribute to the youth and beauty.

Three, with the posture of striving, we will meet the appointment of the times together.

Today, we stand at the historical intersection of the "two centenary goals." This is an era full of opportunities, as well as a time that requires responsibility. The rapid development in fields such as artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and aerospace technology has provided us with a broad stage; the implementation of national strategies such as rural revitalization, carbon neutrality, and common prosperity is calling on us to contribute our youthful strength.

As the youth of a new era, we are living in the right time and bear heavy responsibilities. Let us reject the negative mindset of "lying flat" and abandon the perfunctory attitude of "slacking off". With the broad-mindedness of "the success does not necessarily depend on me, but the success must involve me", let us delve into our own positions, strive for excellence, and never cease to strive.
